Shedlock creates narrative driven paintings that explore shadow work and its relation to our unique identities and experiences. With a focus on symbolism and color, her works are an allegory for the threats against those of us who are in positions of vulnerability in today’s world. She aims to build a safe place to explore one's self without fear of scrutiny or shame and where we can escape to in order to practice radical empathy and collective healing.
